Using the Apple TV Remote to Turn Off Your Device

If you want to turn off your Apple TV using the remote control, you have a few options depending on the model of your device. Here are the steps to follow:

For Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD:

  1. Press and hold the TV button on your Siri Remote until the Control Center appears.
  2. Scroll down to the Sleep option.
  3. Press the Touch surface of your remote to select Sleep and turn off your device.

For Apple TV (3rd generation or earlier):
